Itinerary
Upon arrival in
Delhi, meet your executive for a transfer to
Manali. The 14-hour journey includes scenic views of Sunder Nagar lake, Pandoh dam, and the Vaishno Devi Temple in
Kullu. After checking into your hotel in
Manali, you can spend the evening exploring
Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel are included.
Sarchu is the traditional overnight halt point on the Leh-Manali Highway, situated at an altitude of 4,201 m (13,783 ft) on the border between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. This mid-point location offers tented accommodation, allowing travelers to break the two-day Manali-Leh journey. Dinner and overnight stay in Swiss tents are included.
After breakfast and hotel checkout, depart for Leh (3500m above sea level). Upon arrival, check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Start the day by visiting the Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist pagoda completed in 1991, followed by a visit to the historic Leh Palace. Spend the evening exploring the local Leh market. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Today involves a morning drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, one of the world's highest motorable roads, at an altitude of 5,550 meters. The scenic journey continues to Deskit, the small capital of Nubra.
In Deskit, visit the significant Deskit Gompa, known for its 106-foot high Maitreya Buddha statue and panoramic valley views. Afterward, proceed to Hunder to see the famous sand dunes and the unique double-humped Bactrian camels. You can enjoy a camel ride (at an additional cost) before returning to your camp or hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.
After breakfast, depart for Pangong Lake (4,419m above sea level) via the scenic short-cut route through Shayok village and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik. The route follows the Shayok River, offering picturesque views of the barren mountains. Arrive at Pangong Lake in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day enjoying the scenery. Dinner and overnight stay in a camp.
Begin the day early to witness the sunrise at
Pangong Lake. After breakfast at your camp, drive back to
Leh via the challenging
Changla Pass (5,486m), one of the world's highest motorable roads. Upon arrival in
Leh, check into your hotel. The evening is free for shopping or leisure. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Leh airport to board your flight for your onward journey.
