• Diskit Monastery: Explore the charming village of Diskit and visit its famous Gompa. Perched high on a rocky spur, the monastery features a massive, 106-foot-high statue of Maitreya Buddha, offering a commanding view of the entire Nubra Valley.
• Hunder Sand Dunes: Continue your journey to Hunder, an area known for its unique high-altitude cold desert sand dunes.

• Scenic Short Route: The journey follows the course of the Shyok River and climbs over a mountain pass before descending into the charming village of Shyok. The entire setting, surrounded by barren mountains, is incredibly picturesque.
